Yes, I do like my P6. As an amateur, I purchased it to help me take my bowing technique to a new level, and it has certainly fulfilled that expectation. It allows me to add exactly what I want to my stroke without having to fight so much against the natural tendencies of the bow. The trade-off is that I must bow more consciously and precisely. For instance I cannot blindly rely on the bow's weight for tone but must add just the right amount myself. But this is good because it forces me to think critically about my motion, which is essential to improving my tone and musicality.

I am also a materials chemist by profession, so I am always curious to see what we can do to develop materials that equal and exceed the acoustical properties of wood. I am just learning about this fascinating area of research, but I look forward to seeing what comes out of the field in the future.
